Do you nail the basics?

There’s only one critical thing you ever have to do to get your health under control.

Often we get hung up on finding the workout plan that burns the most fat. The diet plan that’s got the most accurate macros. The supplement that’ll make the difference. Are we low on a certain hormone? What’s the best time of day to exercise? Is quinoa a better carb than brown rice?

These are details. Small rocks. They can matter, but only once one particular question has been answered.

Are you doing the basics, consistently and to a good standard?

If the answer to this is yes, then by all means get stuck into those small rocks. They may add a little extra something to your results.

If the answer is no, then that’s where ALL your energy needs to be spent. Getting stuck on any other details means you’re mowing the lawn when your house is on fire.

To recap the basics:

  • Exercise and daily movement
  • Real, high quality food
  • Sleep
  • Relaxation

The advanced steps, the supplements, the timings - they can’t help you unless you have nailed the basics. Spend your time there and you can't fail to find results.
